Over the past 3 years or so, I've amassed a huge collection of football blog links in my google reader. I mean, I spend 2-3 hours a day scrolling through football blogs, which could be why I never get around to writing my own.
FootieGeeza (my now ex) even said this to me the other day:
it's ridiculous how often i click on random links on soccer or philadelphia things and there's a comment from [you] prominently displayed

From the awesomely named Bert Trautmann's Neck
Doesn't it just warm the cockles of your heart, City Fans? Especially after 4 consecutive draws?

I've taken a Glendenning like stance on the Champion's League right now. Boooring! I am actually disappointed that English teams drawing is what passes for excitement around these parts.
Fuck.that.noise kids. Man United coming back from behind to draw 3-3 at home is not a giant slaying--it's a cot damned travesty.
In some fantastic news today friend of the blog Some People are on the Pitch reached the 1,000 post mark today. Chris and Co have been long time readers of this drivel through various names and non-posting moods. Plus the blog is funny as all get out too!

You all know my love/hate relationship with Liverpool (and my soft spot for scousers apparently). I can't give up a chance to poke a little fun. It's so easy: over emotional, over sentimental with paranoid victimisation complexes. That said, when they're doing well (or beating Manchester United) I can't help but cheer them on a bit for the same exact reasons.
So football365.com has given some shocking stats with regard just how much trouble Liverpool are in.
Liverpool
* Only six Premier League teams - Burnley, Wigan, Birmingham, Blackburn, Hull and Portsmouth - have lost more league games than Liverpool this season.
* Liverpool have conceded twice as many goals as at the same stage last season.
* Fernando Torres has scored 45 goals in 68 Premier League games for Liverpool at an average of two goals every three games.
* Liverpool had 64% of the possesion at Fulham but managed only one shot on target - Torres' goal. ...
* Bottom club Pompey have conceded fewer goals than Liverpool this season.

In the 2984985th attempt to revive this blog I will post that I met someone from Accrington last night and recreate this commercial, unlike previous times.
